It was an absolute delight yesterday to welcome so many visitors and friends to our Christmas Celebration.
Amongst the busyness of preparing for the festivities ahead, taking some time out to remember that we are celebrating the birth of Jesus is something we are obviously keen to do, and it was a pleasure to extend that invitation to others in the community.
We sang carols and songs about the nativity story before our puppet team performed ‘Bethlehemian Rhapsody’ – click here to see what you missed. Afterwards, Andrew asked the children to find four wrapped gifts that had been hidden, which were then unwrapped to give a clue to a different aspect of the nativity story. A couple of carols to finish before we shared coffee and mince pies and had opportunity to talk.
Thank you to all the adults and children that took part and made it such an enjoyable morning celebrating the birth of Jesus.
We are not meeting on Christmas Eve, but we are meeting on Christmas Day, 10am at Manor Primary School, and are back at Uckfield Civic Centre at 10am on Sunday 31 December. We hope you are able to join us.
We all at King’s Church Uckfield wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
