Our team

The lifeblood of the church is lots of people serving in all kinds of ways. Much of this is behind the scenes. Here are some of those who serve in various roles, usually as volunteers.

Eldership team

The Bible makes it clear that a team of leaders should be appointed to oversee every local church. These leaders are men given the title ‘elders’. Our team of elders have the responsibility of taking the church forward in the purposes of God, of caring for the members of the church and encouraging them to grow as followers of Jesus.

He works full-time for the church and is responsible for the preaching and teaching amongst many other things. Ade is married to Hannah and they have two school age children. He enjoys spending time with his family, follows Liverpool F.C. and loves reading.

He is married to Siri whom he met in 1980 whilst working in a refugee camp for Vietnamese Boat People in Hong Kong. They have lived in Uckfield since 1984 and have three grown-up sons. In addition to serving the church as an elder, Jon has many passions including bird watching, riding motorbikes and supporting Norwich City.  Siri helps oversee the mid-week groups.
