On Sunday 30th June we held our final Sunday morning meeting at the Civic Centre. This has been our venue for our weekly Sunday gathering for over 25 years. Along with using the Civic Centre for Sunday meetings, over that time we’ve rented a variety of different buildings as our base for offices and hired different halls for our toddler groups.
From Sunday July 14th we will be meeting in our own all-purpose building, The King’s Centre, Unit 26 Bell Lane, on the Bellbrook Industrial Estate. This building is just a few minutes’ walk from the bus station and easily visible almost opposite Isenhurst gym. It has plenty of parking. Having our own venue like this is something we’ve been dreaming of, praying for and giving towards for 10 years! We love the idea that people will now know where we meet and that we can use the venue to serve our local community more effectively. Apart from some gifts from related churches in the south-east, all the money for this £1 million-plus project has come from the faithful and generous giving of church members over the last decade. The heart behind that giving has been in response to God’s generosity to us in the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ, and the wish to enable us to have a facility that means we can be a blessing to this town and beyond. Do come and see us – we’d love to welcome you!
